The chamber ensemble “Camerata Yakutsk” (con. Dmitry Rogov) opened the concert with the work “Seven minutes before Christmas” by Moscow composer P. Karmanov and presented premiere of the Divertissement D major by V. Mozart. The Philharmonia’s soloist – balalaika-player virtuoso Dmitry Shvetsov performed in cooperation with “Arco ARTico” (con. Andrey Dedukin). In their execution melodies, full with Spain and Argentina sunny atmosphere – habanera “La Paloma” by S. Iradier and “Zita” by A. Piazzolla were played. Famous works, transcribed for balalaika, sounded in a new way, new palette, without losing their lightness, impetuosity and therewith passion.
On that note chamber program of the concert was finished and further visitors listened to the play of the symphony orchestra “Symphonica ARTica” on the scene of Ecclesiastical Seminary for the first time. The listeners as though attended at a fragrant celebration ball – in a wonderful sequence the following works were played: solemn Polonaise from the opera “Eugene Onegin” by P. Tchaikovsky, “Dance with chorons” by Yakut composer N. Berestov, Polka “Trick-Track” by I. Strauss, “Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy”, “Chinese dance” and “Russian dance Trepak” from the suite to “The Nutcracker” ballet.
In the continue of the program listeners welcomed Dmitry Shvetsov again. Dmitry performed the first part of the Concert for domra with orchestra by N. Budashkin transcribed by Andrey Gorbachyov for balalaika with the orchestra “Symphonica ARTica”. In the end of the concert “Spanish dance” from “Swan Lake” ballet by P. Tchaikovsky was played, “Symphonica ARTica” performed Radetzky march by I. Strauss encore.
