Ivan Dyma, multi-saxophonist, soloist of the State Academic Central Puppet Theatre named after S. V. Obraztsov, International competitions laureate.
Ivan began learning music at 8 years old. He learnt playing pianoforte and recorder initially, and after moved to saxophone.
“I decided with musician’s future almost at once! Told everyone that I shall become a musician, though people considered me as the most likely candidate for mathematician, but I didn’t go wrong”.
The musician got 3 Diplomas with regards: 2 for saxophone specialization, 1 for pianoforte. He graduated the Moscow State Institute of Music named after Schnittke with the Diploma with regards in the class of honoured art worker, professor Yu. S. Vorontsov. Ivan is a laureate of International and All-Russian competitions and also Jazz festivals, soloist in the State Academic Central Puppet Theatre named after S. V. Obraztsov. He performs solo on 4 saxophones in the play “The Old Senior and…” on Gabriel Marquez. The play awarded the grades of Laureate of the Russian National Theatre Premium “Gold Mask” and the Laureate of the Premium of the Union of Theatre Workers “The Season’s Hit”, 2014.
Continually was rewarded by Moscow Government for victories on International competitions. Performed of Moscow prestigious scenes: P. I. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Big, Small and Rachmaninov’s Halls of Conservatory, Pavel Slobodkin Centre, Crocus City Hall and many others. Gave concerts abroad: England (Manchester), Scotland (Edinburgh), Germany (Badenweiler), Costa-Rica (San-Jose), Israel (Tel-Aviv), Ukraine (Vorzel). In Russia performed as a soloist with the Symphonic orchestra named after Orbelyan, also with the Symphonic orchestraof the Centre named after Pavel Slobodkin conducted by Ryzhaev, Camera orchestra “Sadko” conducted by S. N. Ostapenko. Teaches in Moscow City Children Music School named after Blazhevich. Students – Laureates and Diplomants of All-Russian and International competitions.
Ivan gives master-classes to saxophonists in all Russia. Plays all concert types saxophones (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone).
